Redefining Men's Fashion: The Birth of GARW

"Khud ka kuch banaunga aur bada banaunga!"

This simple yet profound thought has fueled the dreams of countless entrepreneurs, motivating them to create something they can proudly call their own. As one of these aspiring entrepreneurs, I clung to this thought, which ultimately began the journey of 'GARW'.

Once I committed my mind and energy to building a business, the next crucial step was to find an idea that resonated with me—one that made financial sense, made me happy, and was not plain boring. From a young age, I had a fondness for dressing well and appropriately for every occasion. Whether it was a festival, a wedding, a café meet, or a dinner date, I always had the right outfit, each with its unique style and aesthetic. This passion for fashion never felt like work; it was something I truly enjoyed. The cherry on top was the occasional compliment in the form of, "ye kahan se liya?"

Thus, venturing into fashion, particularly men's fashion, just made sense. Why men's fashion, you ask? Because men's fashion often feels like the overlooked middle child—full of potential but untapped and overlooked. Men’s wardrobes were dominated by the same old solids, stripes, and sporadic prints. I wanted to transform the way men's fashion is perceived and embraced in India.

I embarked on extensive research into trends, fabrics, and designs to understand what works, what doesn’t, what people desire, and what they might not even realize they want. This journey was enlightening. My most significant discovery was the substantial overlap between aspirational and intimidating fashion.

This overlap predominantly exists in designer menswear—the kind of attire celebrities and models flaunt on the red carpet or at award shows. This represents the pinnacle of men's designer fashion in India, making it highly aspirational. However, such pieces are often priced above INR 8,000 - INR 9,000, and many men feel uncertain about whether they can confidently wear a designer shirt or suit. Thus, it also becomes intimidating.

This gap presented a golden opportunity: to make aspirational fashion accessible and affordable for the Indian man. This is the core ideology behind GARW. Our vision is to bring runway fashion to your homes, and we are just getting started!
